5/20/2012 – Copper Breaks State Park (Hardeman County)

Copper Breaks State Park is a seasonal event (Jun-Dec) hosted by the Texas County Walkers (walktx.org).  We registered for the event at the Ranger’s Station.

We took a set of directions that told us to drive to the walk start at the trailhead for the Bull Canyon trail.  First we did a loop on park road out to the lake overlook, then hit the trail.  It started out on grass but soon got into the rocky canyon.  This is a beautiful area.  We had great weather again, it was 75 and overcast with a good breeze.   No sprinkles today, but it looked like it could.

The Copper Breaks State Park Volksmarch in Hardeman County  gave me my 151st county. I now have only 103 counties to go!!
