Angelina County. The walk is an event in the town of Lufkin on Sept 29th. The walk starts at Kit McConnico Park.
Lufkin is the county seat for Angelina County. It was founded in 1882 as a stop on the the Houston, East and West Texas Railway. The town is named for the father-in-law of Paul Bremond who was president of the railroad at that time.
The walk route passes historic homes, churches, and the site of Mission Dolores which was established in 1717.
When I walk this event I will post my impressions and a new count of counties still needed.
It is located at the intersection of US59 and US 69 in deep East Texas.
