Crane, TX – Crane County – Stamp #163 Collected

Finally vacation time and time to travel to West Texas and pick up some new counties! Our first 10K walk was on Friday, Oct 11.  It was in Crane which is just a little south of Odessa.  Our walk started at Stone’s Home Center which had this item for sale.

DSCF6570From there we did a loop around the cemetery passing this marker for one of our fallen heroes.

From there the walk continued along the main highway that passes through town.  We passed this United Methodist Church.

We saw banners on the light poles lining the street.

We passed this nice little pocket park.

We made a note of this restaurant and we ate there after we finished our walk.

When we reached this business we turned around and retraced our steps to the pocket park.

From there we turned west and walked by another small park that they were busy decorating.

We also passed a pharmacy with three nice murals painted on the side of the building.

We passed the volunteer fire department with this memorial to fallen comrades.

From there we passed the school stadium.

And continued on to the edge of town to the County Exhibition Building.

We turned here and entered another small park.

From there the walk was along residential streets.  A lot of homes had this fluffly plant growing.

We returned to the cemetery and retraced our steps back through it to the start location and finished our walk.
