Iraan, TX – Pecos County – Stamp #166 Collected

Our third 10K was in the  town of Iraan.  The correct pronunciation is “Eye-ruh-ann”; it was named for Ira and Ann Yates, owners of the ranch land upon which the town was built.  It sits down in a valley surrounding by lovely hills.  It was sprinkling rain off and on (more off than on) and we had 73 degrees with a nice breeze.

The walk was in two loops, and the loops overlapped by since it was a very small town I wasn’t upset at seeing the same things twice.

There was interesting yard art.
