Our third 10K was in the town of Iraan. The correct pronunciation is “Eye-ruh-ann”; it was named for Ira and Ann Yates, owners of the ranch land upon which the town was built. It sits down in a valley surrounding by lovely hills. It was sprinkling rain off and on (more off than on) and we had 73 degrees with a nice breeze.
The walk was in two loops, and the loops overlapped by since it was a very small town I wasn’t upset at seeing the same things twice.
There was interesting yard art.
There were interesting vehicles.
Roses were still blooming.
Nice rock home.
Backers of the school.
Two churches located side by side.
The sign outside of town.
But the best part was acting like a kid here.
