Saturday we drove north from Odessa to do our second 10K, in the little town of Kermit. This fall/Halloween decoration was the first thing that caught my eye as we headed out.
We passed the school.
And then we came to the Community Church which was the first brick building built in Kermit. The church was organized in 1910, but this building wasn’t built until 1938 after the discovery of oil in the area.
We passed this memorial to all the armed forces.
We crossed a main highway through town and noticed the light pole banners.
They have embraced Kermit the Frog making him welcome in the town.
They have a small pocket park in downtown also.
There was a wide variety of plants used in landscaping.
We came across other fall/Halloween decorations.
Just a view of the nice wide streets in the residential section.
We passed back down the other side of the school on the way to the start/finish.
