Duval is the first of four new counties we will walk in our long weekend. The walk was in San Diego. It was a beautiful day and it was good to get out and walk. The beautiful field of flowers below is behind the civic center.
We passed lots of pretty Bougainvillea in several colors but this orange was my favorite.
We also passed cactus gardens.
We went by the back of a church and then circled around it.
This park was across the street.
These are other interesting old building we passed on our walk.
There were also a couple of really nice new homes.
There were lots of Wisteria in bloom with swallow tail butterflies fluttering about. I tried to capture the butterflies without success.
We walked pass the San Diego Creek.
We saw interesting decorations.
And we walked by a home that was reported to have been LBJ’s hunting lodge.
These animals should look really nice when the plants turn green.
It was a good walk. It would have been better if they had a law against dogs running loose.
