Port Mansfield – Willacy County – Jan 19, 2015

Walk registration was at the Poco Loco Marina.  Very nice people.  Thanks for letting the walking club use you as our start point for this walk.

It was 8 O’clock and foggy when we headed out to walk.  We were delighted with the abundant wildlife.

Wild turkey were vey unexpected.

Further along the trail was more deer.

When we reached the boat docks we spotted some big white pelicans.

I like round buildings and this is two of them connected by a porch and on stilts in case of hurricane.

    Thanks. The turkeys are bigger than any wild ones I’d seen before here in Texas.

    Those were huge turkeys! I have wild ones near my house (spot fertilizing my sidewalk), but those are “Dinner Size”! I applaud your grand adventure and achievement of all those counties! Almost done it seems. Ciao, Lorenzo
